Model United Nations (MUN)

Just by reading that three words, you will have a rough idea of what it is. It is highly certain that most of us know what is United Nations (UN). Just in short, UN is the most influential international organization whose stated aims are to facilitate international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues.

Model United Nations (MUN) can be said to be a miniature replica of the UN. Members of the model perform similar responsibilities as those of the UN.

"Replica" conferences, such as the widely-known General Assembly are held. Other conferences, such as those which concerns environmental or human rights issues are also held. Members of these "replica" conferences will role-play as delegates from many different countries, whether it is Namibia or United States of America. Of course, these members must be fully-knowledgeable of their respective countries, it's policies, culture, social situation, so on and so forth.

*Update* They use the word simulation. Hehe.... Simulation of the UN. Haha... SIMS is a simulation as well! Haha..
